***SkySportsNews*** Top Gun In Fighting Spirit Much maligned HDC skipper Ben Trinham has released a statement regarding his comeback at the 2014 World Matchplay tonight. Top Gun has announced he intends to put to bed any doubts over his commitment or suitability for the role by putting on a dominant performance at the Hally-Pally. Trinham added he wanted to shed his tag of Young Player of the Year and usher in the dawn of a new era of the Top Gun. The World Number 5 is not the only player set to make a comeback on the HDC ProTour, Jay The Squirrel Smith is also set to return but has a reputation for being unreliable. There are also rumours persisting that another unnamed HDC alumni is scheduled to make a surprise appearance at the mecca of darts. One thing is for sure the HDC hopefuls will all be looking to end the dominance of World Number 1 Daz Briney. Since regaining his World Championship crown he has dominated the ProTour and 2014 certainly has been the year of The King of Extreme. Can his reign continue or can will there be an upset?
