Skype and Jan Manton (Gallery owner) I was waiting anxiously next to the computer as my internet connection had been temperamental all day. On the dot the connection was made! Well for a whole 20 seconds, not a good start. A very patient Jan, two phone calls and 5 minutes later the consult started - via the landline. Jan was an easy person to chat to and the conversation flowed through many issues regarding exhibiting. Styles of painting, getting your art works out in the world via the net and social media, to packing and getting it to arrive safe and sound were some of the main subjects we talked through. At the finish of the session I had so many things going around in my head. One was that I had better get a better handle on the whole web, networking thing and that it takes a lot of time out of the actual painting process to be successful in the art world. Well I had better get out there and get started, after I feed the chooks and pigs.
