Sleep eludes me yet again..................have been up since 3 am. Visited my Daddys grave at the Chattanooga National Cemetary yesterday. First trip making that journey, I was so glad to have my loving husband there for me! Since Dad chose to be cremated, his ashes could be buried or entombed. Before he passed away Mother went to look at the available sites. When she saw the entombment area she knew it would suit him for his final resting place. She told him all about it when she returned home and he agreed that would be perfect. The Niche (as it is called) is rows of walls next to the pond with a water fountain in the center. Nicely landscaped and the sun shines right down on it. A face up penny rested on the corner of every single name plaque. Not sure exactly why they were there but I couldnt help but think pennies from Heaven. I reached up to his plaque and let my fingers run over his name time and time again. The best part of his plaque was the inscription which reads Laughter Is A Gift. Our lives were always filled with such laughter and silliness as the Farkle family. It is stilled filled with laughter and silliness when we get together, only now we are missing a Farkle. I miss him so.............
