Sleepless on a Sunday night thinking of all this week will hold! Im going to go ahead and simultaneously thank and apologize to all of my friends and family for putting up with, taking care of and tolerating me this week. (Well, honestly the entire month of April.) The Komen Ozark Race for the Cure only comes once a year and as the Director of Mission Services, every runner, walker, kid and pup I see on race day means another mammogram in Carroll County, or an MRI in Boone County, or a Mastectomy in Washington County, or an ultrasound in Sebastian County, or an appointment with a breast health navigator in Benton County. This is why we race, plan and fundraise. Also, thank you to all of my family and friends that Ive recruited to plan the event. You know who you are and I think you are all fabulous!
