Sligo Rovers under-19 team return to action tonight at the Showgrounds after a two week break to take on Letterkenny Rovers at 7:45. Ciaran Kelly’s team are in good form having won the last two games. They were 3-1 against Longford Town and 5-1 against Finn Harps. It means Rovers currently occupy sixth place in the Elite Northern Division with a big win required to move ahead of Shelbourne into fifth. Several of the squad were involved in yesterday’s friendly with Accrington Stanley. Ryan McManus made his first-team debut since the last game by coming on as a sub in the 4-0 win over UCD a game in which Gary Armstrong made his first start and marked it with a goal. Letterkenny have had a poor start to the season losing all four games played so far. The game will be played on the main Showgrounds pitch and admission is free.
