Small Business Saturday A Message from Molding Box Inc.s CEO, - TopicsExpress

Small Business Saturday A Message from Molding Box Inc.s CEO, Doug Johnson Small businesses are major contributors in a successful economy. If you look at the history of America, every business started small and eventually grew to what it is today. Small business are what has made America and is what has helped make dreams possible. An economy and environment where small business are valued and encouraged can be extremely beneficial to the overall economy and incredible success can be achieved for many individuals on a personal level. Small business foster and produce innovation, creativity, and progression of the American Dream. They allow multiple individuals to fulfill their dreams, rather than a corporate giant just getting bigger. This is achieved through the efforts of hard working individuals determined to succeed. Many of these efforts start in the garages, basements, and single window store fronts of determined, passionate individuals. By challenging the norm with new ideas of creativity, ingenuity, and better design, new ideas and improved methods of delivery are created to fulfill consumer’s needs worldwide. This was the case for our very own Molding Box when founder, Jordan Guernsey, started a shipping business in a basement. It is individuals like Jordan, who have ideas, desire positive change, and are determined to follow through with this changes that our community, state, country, and world have been able to grow. Understanding the impact that one individual and their idea can have on a community and an economy is mind boggling. Yet it is these individuals and their ideas, that create the small business than then develop into larger organization. The growth and services provided in small business attributes to the overall success seen in one’s local community’s economy. It is what helps improve life for many, starting at a local level. We need to encourage others to support the small businesses around us, be open to trying new, innovative items, and being proactive in protecting the rights of the small business owners. We need to ensure that we ourselves do not forget, or let others forget that every fast food giant, grocery and department store chain, and other large corporations started small. They started at a local level. They were able to offer innovative services to meet the needs of their consumers in unique ways. They were able to focus on the consumer. They came from small business beginnings led by innovative individuals that were passionate about what they were doing, and driven to see success. We as a small business are also driven to see success and are grateful for the success we have seen due to the support of the community and other small business around us who have helped put our innovation to the test. We hope that others can see the value that we have found in the innovative, creative, determined, satisfying services that small business can provide. Take time to approach and support the small business around you that are striving to make positive changes in your world at a community level. We hope you too have a great small business Saturday and are find the same fulfillment and quality service that we find by supporting local small businesses. usatoday/story/money/business/2013/11/29/small-business-saturday/3785883/
