Small Business Spotlight: Natick Community Organic Farm Had a great time visiting the Natick Community Organic Farm (NCOF) and meeting Lynda Simkins, Executive Director, and Trish Umbrell, Farm Administrator. For almost four decades, NCOF has been a rich center of community life in Natick and a source of inspiration for locally based organic farms across the Commonwealth and the country. Founded in 1975, NCOF has been committed to farming healthy and sustainable goods, priding themselves on “humane animal care, sustainability in lifestyle, and living in an environmentally friendly manner.” The farm is also heavily involved in education through youth services and classes, camps, work programs and volunteer opportunities for local area students, who learn about the importance of supporting local farms and organic agriculture.
