Smith Brothers/CRC 611 post race report. Defending a championship is difficult in any sport and it holds true for offshore racing. The team went into this years Offshore Powerboat Association World Championships determined to repeat their 2013 Class 6 World Championship, but it was not to be. The level of competition in Class 6 leaves little room for error and we were off our game enough to cost us a chance at the title. Both days of racing featured tight, competitive racing and we had a blast, but the official results (which are currently under protest, so I wont post them) dont reflect our best work. Look for a full season review soon. In the meantime, thanks to all of our supporters and fans. Despite the disappointment, it has been a great year.
