Smitty mentioned Whitesnake in a comment earlier, and that just planted a seed. I love everything that David Coverdale has ever put his name to, and would really struggle to pick an out n out favourite album, probably because he seldom strays from his proven formula. Many years ago, around the MTV Unplugged period, when asked, DC stated that he didnt think Whitesnakes music would translate properly to a fully acoustic setting......... then in 1997, DC threw his acoustic hat into the ring. Recorded at EMIs Japan studios, in front of a very small and select audience of Japanese fans, David, accompanied only by Adrian Vandenberg on acoustic guitar, brought us Starkers in Tokyo.
