Snacking in between your main meals of the day does the same thing - TopicsExpress

Snacking in between your main meals of the day does the same thing as a full meal in terms of insulin secretion and shutting off the fat burning hormones. If youre having issues with weight loss, while doing everything right, I would recommend not snacking in between meals - even if your snacks are amazingly nutrient-dense, your insulin and glucose production is in a constant raised level - contributing to metabolic damage. The window of 4-5 hours allows your metabolism a mini fast and in turn use your fat reserves as fuel instead of the fuel you ate just 20 minutes ago. Consuming the right amounts of protein and fats at each meal will ensure youre not going to need to snack and make your snack free day easier to manage. elephantjournal/2012/02/eat-six-times-a-day-the-dangers-of-frequent-eating/
