So Broken Hill is heritage listed as a symbolic foundation of Australian heritage and when BHP Billiton is asked to make a contribution to the moment it declines to comment or donate.. I think theyve forgotten that if it were not for Broken Hills rich body of minerals as their foundation they wouldnt be Broken Hill Proprietary Billiton let alone be where they are today.. An acknowledgement is a very small ask. Take a well deserved bow Broken Hill, its been over a century long delay for this acknowledgement. The blood sweat and tears shed by working class men and women to build a large slab of concrete in the foundations of this country that is all too often forgotten and well and truly overlooked. If its a national treasure then Id expect it to be taken better care of for all it has contributed to this country..Its the very least that could be done.
