So, Eminem set a world record for most words in a track and people are talking about how well-earned it is, and how nobody grinds as hard as Em cuz hes released like 5+ albums in the last 5 years... Im not hating on Eminem at all. In fact, hes one of my favorite rappers of all time. Hes ridiculously talented, a huge inspiration, helped pave the way for white emcees, and can still shit on 90% of rappers out there... But hold up. 1. I highly doubt thats an accurate record, considering all the underground content that exists. Im confident that he only holds the record because of his fame, and the attention being drawn to him, over less notable artists. 2. He had over 6 minutes. Thats a pretty long duration for a single rap track. Further, there was only a short piece where he burst into speed rap. The rest was pretty moderately paced. The bar he set just wasnt that high. 3. 5+ albums in 5 years isnt shit compared to Tech N9nes grind. Tech has released about 16 records in the past 10 years, he came from the bottom and worked his way up on his own independent label, has a huge underground following as well as mainstream success, and he can speed rap with the best of em. All Im saying is... If you gave Tech N9ne a 6+ minute beat, and he wanted that world record, homeboy would have it by tomorrow night.
