So I am looking for an explanation as to why so many politicians run for office giving themselves credit as successful business owners? Seeing as how the government is not a business, sells no goods, provides no services for a profit, and typically manufactures very little(again with no profit) why would someone see being a good businessman/woman as a strength or rational for entering the arena of public service? Other than of course it being a simple smokescreen as an excuse to fixing the economy? Yes I would understand if a person ran with being an incredible accountant or economist, understanding financial flow of funds, but even then that gets into the arena of investing taxpayer funds into private hands which is disgusting as is. Does anyone have justification for why they think that a successful business owner is more qualified to run something that is not a business than any other person? Is this at all a relevant or noteworthy acclaim to being qualified for politics?
