So I am starting a new anime and I am a little skeptical, but I want to try it out because I like the storyline. However it is a Harem Anime for those of you who dont watch much anime or dont know what a harem anime is here is an explanation. It is basically any anime where the main protagonist is male and he is surrounded by females with very little male interaction usually having multiple love interests and there are a lot of akward pervy moments. Its definitely not a kid safe genre. Take Rosario Vampire or Sekirei. There are also some reverse harem anime out there with girls being the protag and surrounded by males such as fruits basket or ouran high school host club. Anywho the storyline is basically this. Kazehaya Kamito, the only male elementalist in the world, was summoned by Greyworth Ciel Mais to Areishia Spirit Academy. Here at this academy, maidens of noble families are gathered, trained and given an elites education to become elementalists. However, from the age of six, Kamito was trained as an empty emotionless assassin. Probably to be their bodyguard or something. Kamito by accident peeped at a girl, Claire Rouge, while she was purifying herself to make an attempt to contract a sealed sword spirit known as the demon sword, aka Est, whos only ever been contracted once. He ended up making a contract with the spirit Est in order to save claires life due to the fact that her contract went awry and the sword stabbed her Spirit scarlet and was after her next. He got some information about his long lost contracted spirit Restia, aka the vorporal sword spirit whom he completed an impartial contract yet lost contact with when he was younger, from Greyworth. In return for her information, he had to be admitted to the academy and participate in the Spirit Blade Dance festival held 2 months later. Its very confusing so far all Ive done is try to read backstory. It jumps all over the place, maybe it will get clearer as I go. Thats if I can even watch it because I am not usually into Harem anime as I am not an 11 year old boy or a pervy old japanese man or an anime fan girl who would probably get into this genre. Im looking at you Kittie Write XD.
