So I am wondering what the JW legal loophole would be for the Borgs repeated assertions that they do not solicit money? If I put the following quote to a JW, followed by the 4 page letter on the new donation arrangement, and the Nov 2013 Watchtower article that listed all the ways you can give money, what argument would they give to make the two reconcile? I am thinking maybe they would say solicit means they dont ask the general public for money. But then do ANY churches? Jehovahs Will Lesson 24 We do not tithe, charge dues, or take up collections. Although the costs of supporting our evangelizing work are high, we do not solicit money. Over a century ago, the second issue of the Watchtower magazine stated that we believe we have Jehovah as our backer and that we “will never beg nor petition men for support”—and we never have!—Matthew 10:8.
