So I can appreciate that there is value in doing this, but this is still just a cafo- concentrated animal feeding operation - except in water and these beautiful fish cannot lead normal, wild, lives. you know the thing that bothers my soul the most about all o these animal confinement and humane-raising issues, is that we want civil rights for ourselves and this world more than anything, and yet, we are not willing to extend that to the critters and the land without extraordinary intervention. I personally find that deeply unethical and disturbing about human beings. We cant give what we want most - except for some intrepid citizens who work tirelessly day and night for animal rights (and are finally getting somewhere) and those who read labels, make disciplined choices and pay attention to where their food comes from! But on a day to day basis, we still want our turkey or ham and swiss sandwich and most of us dont care where those turkeys and pigs came from, how they were raised and treated. We will never have a fully just world as long as this sort of consciousness exists (ok, along with a million other things!!). thanks for reading.
