So, I feel like I should release an official statement or something! I have had to keep this quiet since June and then yesterday, I was completely taken by surprise (excuse the pun) as my ridiculous face was plastered over the internet. There aren’t many words I can use to describe what happened – my face explains it all. I have the world’s best friend and the fact she even considered me to nominate is enough. To even be considered to deserve something like this is, is truly amazing. I do what I do for me. I only set out to give back to the hospice for the AMAZING care they gave my dad and I don’t feel that deserves any more recognition than other fundraisers get, however I am embracing it and I have never felt so fortunate for such an amazing opportunity and I promise I will grab it with both hands, and hopefully, continue to make a difference. Oh and obviously thanks to Pharrell Williams for giving me a heart attack – there aren’t many times I am completely speechless. Don’t be fooled by me running away from him… I’m not sure why I did that either. *Please tune in to Surprise Surprise (ITV) Wednesday 22nd October – 8pm* to see the full thing (trust me, it gets worse) and hear more about the amazing experience the SS team have given me. Once the show has been aired, I will be able to talk more freely about everything. The amount of support I have received has been phenomenal and I feel so blessed. I became very overwhelmed yesterday and shut myself off for a while, so I promise I am not ignoring you and I will get back to everyone’s lovely messages when I can. I have been planning to run my campaign for a long time now, but I have been working extra hard to get it ready to launch alongside Surprise Surprise.
