So I go into the doc for a routine checkup. Little did I know, I had yet another sinus infection. Apparently my body has grown accustomed to being ill so I dont even notice the froggy nasal pitch my voice has. SO she looks in my file to see that Ive been on antibiotics 6 times this year for a sinus infection. Her theory -the same damn infection. So we were off to see a specialist. I dont like going to specialists because they always find something. I dont wanna be special! Anyway, hop up on the table. I forewarn the doc that one nostril is crusted over with blood inside. I thought that was from the prescript nasal spray tearing up the tissue. Oh no. Thats a different sorta infection. Fabulous. So then here comes the nose spreaders. My nails dig in the bed as he is trying to look inside my nasal cavity. He told me I had quite the high pain tolerance as I didnt jump to the ceiling. Yeah, it hurt. We have quite the problem. So off to get a CT scan. Theory is that I have some sort of blockage or pollups (have no idea if thats spelled right) inside my sinuses, not allowing me to heal properly. Im sensitive to allergens, I found out this year. Soooo next step is surgery, they say. We just have to have the CT scan to confirm the cause. Now I guess I can call CVS & tell them to take me off the meth list - that I wont need to buy Sudafed D & Alegra D anymore because it aint working. At any rate, scan next week.
