So I had a phone interview this morning about club and AAU basketball. One question is how I judge the success of my club program. Was asked is about wins, how many division 1 scholarships, how many nba players have came from my program, or how many shoe deals we have gotten. My respond was how many kids we have save. Then the gentleman doing the interview said. "No college coach cares about that, no shoe company cares, no one at these major events cares." My answer to him is I care and have had many kids go to college. Some division 1,2,3 JC and NAIA. Thats all that matter to me because when its time for me to go to heaven I dont answer to none if those things, I will answer to God. How many coaches involved in club and AAU would do what they do if there was no shoe deals, if college coaches only could recruit 4 days in the year, no rankings, or there was no hype in it? Thats how my interview ended.
