So, I had took the entire gang to our holistic vet in MD and Wednesday for exams/the full works. Results came back yesterday. Vet said the boys look pretty good - but Tim was dehydrated so she gave him some fluids. We were worried about his kidneys, since he wakes me up at night often to pee and he sometimes has accidents in the house, but his urine looks great! She said the only thing that worries her is Jake has high Monocytes count (852) and Platelet count (708). She says this could possibly be indicative of cancer. I had not heard of Monocytes, and when I looked it up, it said a high count could be due to infection, inflammation or stress (as in vet visit, which REALLY stresses him out). Has anyone else seen high Monocytes Count in their seniors? Would appreciate any feedback and/or insight! Kim Desi-Horton??
