So, I have a three month old laptop. Pre-packed Norton antivirus was getting ready to expire. After several expiration warnings I deleted it. While in the registry cleaning up all the remnants, I noticed and cleaned out two malwares. While I was doing this, Windows Defender, which was auto disabled due to conflicting with Norton, found four more malwares. Overnight I ran a full system Defender scan, it found a Trojan downloader! Moral of the story, dont waste money on Norton, its worthless junk! Free Windows Defender and Security Essentials cant be beat. Who better to protect Windows than Windows.
