So, I have made some decisions today. Since May 2011, which was during the Jeparit Pony Rescue in which Jodi Hutson, Gayle Newcombe and I (together with other volunteers that supported us) rescued 147+, I have done rescue to the max. Over 500 horses have come through the PR INC gates since then and I am tired. A few months ago the PR INC gates were shut and hundreds of horses have been knocked back due to lack of funds, but i still tried to help the owners as best as possible by offering a Direct Rehome Service which i provided free also. I put everything into the rescues 24/7- emotionally , physically and financially. I do all the handling and training on my own as I am so rural its very hard to have a volunteer system due to fuel costs and time constraints for people to manage the distance and the same reasons again for me to be able to source trainers and other professionals & funds to take some of the load off at a negotiable price. Even when the gates are closed PR INC never has turned its back on the horses that are HIGH RISK... I have slowly started to open PR INCs gates over the past month. We took a new baby 18 month old clyde X last weekend, tomorrow i pick up an Arab Stallion and mare purchased by LPS at the Echuca Sales on Wednesday. Again i have to say BUT... this will be the last two horses we will take for the moment and again we are closing the gates for a while, this time for personal reasons because as i said earlier in this post I am tired. In the past month I personally have been subjected to some pretty good efforts of slandering and defamation and much more ... no where near on a par with the intensity of what we copped during the JP RESCUE but still every one has a point where they have to sit back and say ... its time for me to look after me !!! Its not the providing a future with dignity and promise for the horses and ponies that is taking its toll, it is the CRAP i am having to deal with on a daily basis from the slanderers, keyboard warriors, defamers and trophy gatherers. For Fs sake it is about the horses and ponies, well at least it is for me here at PR INC. If you take a good analytical look at my posts on PR INC you will see its not about my struggles, its about getting positive outcomes for the horse/pony and its about their journey, not mine.
