So, I have to be out of the apartment May 1. Today at the house my dearest friend Michael Rumsey had the painter finishing up. We had the restoration/storage people returning one out of every six pieces of furniture taken, the rest being unsalvageable. We had the plumber trying to fix the gas leak problem. We had the same plumber fixing the exhaust issue for the water heater. We had the store deliver the bedroom, without the bed. We had the roto-rooter man come to decide if the issue is due to construction materials blocking the line, or a tree being too friendly with the pipe. We failed yet again the city inspection that I have to have in order to be able to actually live there. I have an entire room of boxes, the contents of which I dont have the first clue, and no inventory has been provided or is apparently available. Tomorrow I will have the tile/floor guy in to discuss the problems in the kitchen and bathrooms. I will have someone I hope to help me install the washer, dryer and refrigerator since when they were ordered, the install was not a part of the delivery. Nearly six months to the day the house burned. Step by step, you know?
