So I have to say what a AWESOME Group this is!!! Friday a owner surrender was picked up and the dog was terrified and having gotten him to his foster home after 10 pm he bolted when moving him from the van indoors. Volunteers and the owner of the dog were out until almost 3 am looking for this sweet guy and the area he was in is somewhat rural in areas with lots of farm land and property and horses and lots of greenbelts with places to hide. He was sighted a hour after he first ran and even though it was so dark with very little lighting the volunteers kept looking. In the am we got another group together and continued on looking for this poor scared boy. We now knew the direction he was still heading in and he was now injured as someone called into to animal control sighting a xl tan dog. This AMAZING group pulled together and walked the fields and greenbelts and knocking on peoples doors calling vets and PD to make sure no one had called anymore sightings in. Around 4 pm one of the volunteers was headed to Petsmart to hang flyers and she took a look around back by there loading docks and there was Sarge she was able to somewhat block him in and offered him water and he jumped right in her car. I am humbled at being a part of such a caring and giving group that does not give up when a dog is in need. This could have turned out so much worse but this group being so dedicated as they are would not give up. Welcome to Rescue Sarge you have a AWESOME group making sure you are cared for!!!
