So I just got home from my service appointment at Sarchione Chevrolet for the truck we bought there. First, I want to say that everyone I have personally talked to there has been pleasant. That said, I will not be recommending the dealership to others. When we purchased the truck I was told that I could have the Warn hub that wasnt working repaired and a full service on the truck included with the deal. When I called in I mentioned I had a few other issues, namely that the hidden hitch was frozen up solid, that the trailer brake controller wasnt working and also one of the power points. I was assured that all of this could be looked into and that it would be no issue at all. After the service was completed I was told that, even though I brought my own full synthetic oil, I was going to be charged for labor, that the hitch was lubricated but still not functional, but that the hub had been repaired. I was told Id also have to pay if I wanted to have the brake controller and non-functional power point diagnosed and/or repaired. Perhaps its a miscommunication, but I was told by the service manager that John Sarchione himself had said thats how it was going to be. This after my wife had talked to John last night about other concerns we had and assured he would visit with us today. We asked to see him three times over a period of about 3 hours, and nothing from him at all. Our sales guy did tell us hed look into a more suitable vehicle, but at this point, Ive really got a bad taste in my mouth. Even though the folks were warm and cordial, Promises were not kept, and that doesnt sit well with me, at all. I know we only bought a $10,000 used old truck, but when you say something, you keep your word. Mike at the sales desk DID end up NOT charging for the lube and filter, to his credit. It just sucks that I am left feeling like Im not a valued customer and that my mistake in buying the wrong vehicle is amplified by it. They dont allow ratings on their Facebook page. If they did, theyd get three stars. Nice people, but really, just another car dealer.
