So I just received this email from Westmont Colleges Teri Bradford - TopicsExpress

So I just received this email from Westmont Colleges Teri Bradford Rouse: Ben, Thanks so much for expressing your concern about our partnership with Mercer and Liberty Mutual Insurance. We always want to hear from our alumni. I’m sorry I didn’t reply earlier, but I’ve been on vacation. Just to clarify, Westmont never sells alumni information or mailing lists. College policy clearly prohibits this. Our strict contract with the insurance companies specifies that they may not use Westmont data for any purpose other than the programs we’ve developed with them. We’re working with these insurance companies as part of our efforts to provide ongoing services to Westmont alumni, including programs that may save them money. This new benefit offers discounted rates on various types of insurance. We invite alumni to investigate these opportunities to see if they might meet a need. In tough economic times, it’s one small way we can assist alumni. The college receives only a small royalty for participating in these insurance programs, which supports alumni activities and services. If you don’t wish to receive additional communications about these insurance programs, we will remove you from the mailing list. It takes some time for your name to be deleted, and I apologize if you receive an email in the interim. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We always welcome your comments. Sincerely, Teri Teri Bradford Rouse Senior Director of Alumni and Parent Relations Can anyone tell me how they are NOT sharing & selling my information? I received several packets of mail from insurance companies looking to sell me insurance with the Westmont logo stamped on the top.
