So I know that most of you already know, but I have accepted a position as the full time youth pastor at my church here in Dallas. Im asking that you would throw up a prayer for me as often as you can, because although Im incredibly excited to serve my church in this capacity, I know that I cant do this without your support. Jr. and Sr. High school (and college) are perhaps the most crucial times in a persons development, not only physically and mentally, but also spiritually. Please pray that I can lead these kids to cultivate a genuine relationship with the Lord. Also, Ive decided to take a short leave of absence from seminary to focus on my marriage as well as this full time position. Once this semester is done, Ill go back to school part time and hopefully finish the rest of my program within 5 more years. Lastly, Im currently the only staff worker for this youth group of approx 130 students. So, if you know anyone who is interested in part time work involving Jr High and High School students, please please please let me know. Thank you! p.s. these kids might kill me.
