Trying to play a little catch-up this evening.... At our last PTO meeting we discussed the following fundraisers: Raffle Tickets, Dances, Movies on the Green (for yearbook) and also hosting a Woman-less Pageant but opening it up to the public not just students (sounds like a blast right?) We also set a budget to raise a total of $5,500 to assist with the following school needs: English Dept - waiting to see if we need to purchase the remaining novels needed $1,500 / ABC Parties - $500 / Home Ec Donation - $500 / Honor Banquet - $1000 / Teacher Appreciation - $500 / Yearbook - $500 / Miscellaneous (Other departments) - $1000 Raffle Tickets will be given out this week at school, we are asking each student to sell one book of ten tickets - a student may sell more if they choose (we would love it if they did) PTO Meeting Dates will be as follows: Sept-None, Oct 6th, Nov 3rd, Jan 7th, Feb 4th, April 15, May-None Dances have been set as well: Sept 20th - Football Theme October 18th - Halloween November 15th - Fall Theme January - TBD February 14th - will be a Sadie Hawkins dance only for High School Students and a theme will be nominated from the student body. May - End of School Dance - TBD We have 4 available months for clubs / sports. Coach Thomassee, Mrs Bourgeios and Mrs Boudreaux have all put in a requests for the extra months that are available. Which these available months are December, March, April & May. Scheduled ABC Parties: 1st 6 weeks - Sept 24th 2nd 6 weeks - Nov 5th 3rd 6 weeks - January 7th 4th 6 weeks - February 25th 5th 6 weeks - TBD I think this about sums it all up.....we look forward to an exciting school year and if any one is interesting in assisting us with all these exciting things - we would greatly appreciate it. thanks, christyb
