So I look to my partner for advice about punishment for one of my employees that continuously does not follow the rules. I was told that if I punish him then its just going to start drama and I have to be prepared to shut the restaurant down. What kind of ridiculous crap is that? Im going to have to shut the restaurant down because my employee is going to be upset about me enforcing the rules. What kind of ridiculous nonsense is that? So I discuss this situation with my mother and she tells me that she hopes that someone offers me a job while im in africa so that I can get away from this restaurant. Just 1 more rediculous statement to add to the other ones that I heard today. Why the heck would I want to shut down the restaurant and jeopardize my familys future and success because of one employee the does not follow the rules and will get disgruntled when I punish him for not following the rules. #2 my mother wants me to shut down the restaurant also because she feels that it causes nothing but drama between my father and I which is not true . I swear it seems as if none of the people that are close to me want me to succeed in this restaurant. Everytime there is a situation that occurs which causes drama throughout the restaurant or throughout my family the first thing that comes out of the mouth of the 2 people whose opinions I value most is you might as well just go ahead and shut the restaurant down. I just dont understand why they cannot brainstorm with me and come up with a resolution to the problem and if it causes more issues as we are resolving the problem then we just deal with the issues as they occur. I just dont understand why everyones first reaction is to tell me to just shut the restaurant down. So I guess I will not seak any advice from them from now on because I know what their answer will be.
