So I played a few holes today for the first time in 3 weeks.... Probably the longest I have gone without swinging a club since I left school over 10 years ago. The reason for my absence from the game was treatment for Skin Cancer - a minor operation to remove a melanoma from my back... The surgery was successful and they removed all the cancerous cells but I will need further surgery as a precaution in the next couple of weeks. As a 27 yr old to be told I had cancer was a bit shit scary.... But even scarier is the lack of knowledge I had about this and how to protect myself properly.
