So I wandered over to the "Open Discussion of MLA Group Structure" today, and almost succumbed to comment fever. I was saved by the fact that "open" either refers to read-access or to teleology, because only members can comment. And as my membership is only occasional and purely tactical, alas! I do appreciate the colossal amount of work that a "map" like this entails. But I must say that, until MLA does something about the structures that encourage them to think of R/C as a "tiny segment" of the field, my membership is only ever likely to be tactical and as minimally occasional as I can make it. groupsdiscussionmons.mla.org/draft-proposal/
