So, I wanna try to write a short-fiction piece for Rosarium Publishings The SEA is Ours anthology. The theme is South East Asian Steampunk. So, lets brainstorm! Anyone out there, if you got an idea, just post it in the comments. :) Ill appreciate it a lot. For those of you who dont know, Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery, especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century. Think Bioshock Infinite, Howls Moving Castle, Dishonored, Final Fantasy XII, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Sakura Wars, that kinda thing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk Anyway, itd be great if anyone out there can just throw in some wild ideas. The interesting thing about this theme is that its Steampunk IN South-East Asia. What would South-East Asia be like if it had fantastical machinery and industrial capabilities during the colonial ages? The only idea I have right now involves the tragedy of Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat. Throw some ideas in, people!
