So, I wanted to avoid the rampant hyperbole abound on social media about what people are thankful for. It seems self-serving and a bit too share-ey, but everyones posts are giving me FOMO so heres the shortlist off the top of my head...Im MOST thankful for: --Living in an age when the internet makes just about anything possible --Being born a caucasian male in America --Being blessed with decent genetics and an OK brain which I hopefully havent yet completely ruined with beer and techno --Having a supportive family which doesnt complain too much about my nomadism and has turned the corner on my crazy ventures to now fully back me (cc Steve Schuster Beth C Lizi Schuster) --My sister having met an awesome lad Matt Sharrah who will become my brother in law next autumn --Receiving a world-class education from four Universities in four countries producing two science degrees --Engaging in regular communication with a handful of epic people (namely Rob Olivar and Greg Nathan ) who believe in, advise, and encourage me even when Im a knucklehead! --Having folks I can genuinely call friends in just about every corner of the globe --Getting to reside wherever the heck I want. This is a pretty darn cool planet we live on! --Having the chutzpah (most days) to plow (not always) fearlessly ahead with a stupidly ambitious business idea which, I hope--nah, I believe--will change the world! --Having connections with incredibly varied skillsets which will help in my venture and just teach me more and more about how to live life --Being privy to a large and elite network of individuals who will bring our venture to new heights --Getting to call Palm Beach, Florida home whenever I want and taking a contracted position there in a months time under the tutelage of one of the worlds best in my industry --Having a stupendously awesomely outstanding business partner in Rowan Rimington who calls me out on my bullshit, aces all the stuff Im not good at, and matches my chutzpah pound-for-pound even when we arent entirely sure of ourselves. Together, the sky is the limit. --Being at an age where Im old enough to almost-sorta-kinda-sometimes have a clue about life, but (plenty) young enough to still capitalize on it! Shit, Im a lucky dude. Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone.
