So I was in a Bank somewhere in Lagos yesterday and I overheard one older man asking a young supporter of Gej why he is supporting Gej, as the young man was listing the achievements of Gej, the older gentleman statement literally cut my heart See your Life, You are unemployed for years now and you are supporting a clueless drunken President That word was a heavy one and It was painful but since I was not part of the discussion, I choose to remain quiet It is unarguable that Gejs foot soldiers and core supporters are from a demographic, a demographic that choose to keep faith with him in spite of his many failures and success too The President has recognized this fact and has keyed in his campaign to woo, appeal and capture this young demographic Meanwhile it is painful and sheer tomfoolery when I read articles from supposedly educated elites on social media castigating young people for supporting President Gej They make their message sink home by relating unemployment which is a global problem to their case by making it look that you are stupid if you are unemployed and still supporting Gej For this supposedly educated elites, It is cool when young people support Buhari because they can relate to him but starts castigating the same young people for supporting a man they hate and wont wait to see him off Aso Rock I wonder what these educated elites were doing in their time when the past head of state ate the resources that belong to my generation and the one following us? Funny enough, these partisan educated elites does not have problem with what Tinubu, Bukola Sariki And Amaechi are doing to their people. They approve the looting these gentlemen are doing in their states but would call you names if you defend Gej? Relating unemployment with supporting Gej is wrong and taking campaign for Buahri too far Challenge us with facts, what is General Buhari road map to tackle unemployment which is a matter dear to young people, Can he do better than what Gej is doing at the moment and not making them look stupid for supporting their choice Head or tail, we cant see things from the same perspective We have young people supporting Buhari and we have the same supporting Gej This is the beauty of democracy Let us respect our choice for supporting our candidates because take away that choice, the person is dead
