So Im just back in from work and yes the smoke alarm still has an intermittent beep. The problem I have is that my tenancy agreement states that it is my responsibility to sort this out. However, as it is a wired unit and not battery operated, I am not allowed to touch it due to the fact that I am not qualified to do so. I now have to wait for a maintenance person to contact me to get access. Until then I have convinced myself that I have in my flat a budgie with hiccups in the hope that I can clear the noise out of head. This will be a long night.
