So Im working yesterday and one of the roughest neighborhoods in the city and while a group of young men that Ive been dealing with always coming up asking me questions about whats this for was that for hey what are you doing with this what you doing that I never push them away and always answer the questions and make them feel like people and not problems. So I come across them yesterday about eight of them I said walk down here to the corner store with me at first this little hesitant you know that I want to be seen walking to the store with the cops !!!! But I said no itll be alright Ill walk ahead of you guys !!! So they agreed was we got to the store I told a group of young mans go pick out 4 items of whatever you want anything I dont care what it is pick out whatever you want. You shouldve seen some other people in the store in amazement!!! But to make a long story short the young man was so thankful that because of what I did when I left they were shaking my hands and giving me hugs and saying that thats the nicest thing someone is done for them!!! You see policing isnt about harassment or casting judgment on individuals by the way they appear policing is about communitys about reaching out and its about doing good things for people and they say the young men have no hope well I say the only hope they have is the hope that we give them!!!!!!
