So, Ive been giving into thought about an event that I feel would be awesome. Im thinking Melee mixed with a Spartan race, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash type scenerio. Take a place like Turkey mountain or Chandler Park, have set two to five man teams with different obstacles and fighting situations set at multiple checkpoints and have said teams compete for time. If a team fails to attain victory at a challenge or cannot complete and obstacle they are set back to the previous checkpoint. Now also playing with the idea, is that every fighter challenge can be coinciding themes for a bigger quest -like theme. And the final challenge being a sort of final boss. Mix in simple obstacles that present an athletic difficulty as well. But nothing dangerous. Something like trudging through mud and crawling under something to resemble barbed wire. How I imagined it set up is that we have designated fighters for the challenges. One of these challenges being the volunteers to dress up like Orcs or something related to classical fantasy themed adventures. Just an idea that had been swimming around in my head. A challenge to honor the athleticism of Melee.
