So.....Ive been sick with the flu all week with way too much time on my hands and thinking about the partially inflated balls in the New England Patriots equipment bags...... Ive listened to songs of a common theme and heard about fines levied for regulation infractions. My question is...with seven officials on the field at all times during the game, is anyone holding an official responsible for negligence in the oversight of such an infraction? And I would think that the ball inventory would have been examined by all parties concerned BEFORE the game, rather than after the final whistle blows. Im just saying......if officials can be observant enough to levy fines on a player for inappropriate hand gestures during moments of spiking testosterone levels, then why should they not apply equal diligence towards the observance of standardized equipment parameters. .... I told you I had too much time on my hands.....wheres my cough medicine?
