So, Ive got the Tax department slightly stumped on this question and theyre going to call me back in 48 hours with an answer. But perhaps youve already had it solved for you in your business.... Say an artist places their items in my shop to sell by commission. They retain full ownership, and if the item sells, I get a cut for having sold it and it having taken up space in my shop. They get the remainder. So who pays GST? The Artist or the Shop Owner? And do they pay it on their percentage of the sale price, or on the whole sale price?
