So Ive seen this thing going around where girls are nominating each other to take selfies with no make-up on in order to raise awareness for breast cancer. I dont think the idea of raising awareness is really being met in Australia yet, as Ive seen a lot of girls posting their photo with no recognition of Breast Cancer whatsoever. I want to propose an add on following the UKs footsteps. Every person who uploads a bare selfie donates $2 to the Australian Breast Cancer Research Organisation and if you cant afford that at least share the link to encourage others. Guys are definitely a part of this too, however its the opposite (full make-up). Whether you think this is ridiculous or not, if any donation comes out of this ill be satisfied. Heres a few little fun facts for you according to the breast cancer network Australia: -in 2014, it is estimated that 15,270 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, approximately 42 women will be diagnosed each day in Australia. -There is a 1 in 8 lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. -In 2008 113 men were diagnosed with breast cancer. -In 2007 on average 7 women died every day from breast cancer If you want to help fund research heres the link to the Australian Breast Cancer Researchs website abcr.au/online-donations. Anything helps! Cancer is a terrible thing, These statistics are why we need to be aware of the risk, take action to spread the word and get regularly checked. I dont wear much make-up day to day as it is, but heres my lovely bare face just after a fake tan sesh haha and $2 donated to research. #nomakeupselfie I nominate Kerry Massey Sarah Massey Maddison Greenwood Maddie Andrews Georgina Verrell Sarsha Jordan Lauren Campbell Abbey Louise Walsh Georgia Bloomfield Jaimie Evans Amy Newcombe Maddy Burke Chris Massey Sarah Brown Sarah Davis Jessica Sandell
