So, about 4-5 years ago, I wrote a South Park spec, which basically pitted George Lucas and Michael Bay on who could make the crappiest re-imagined version of a movie properties, battling each other at Comic-Con in a There Will Be Blood type parody. Its dated now, since Lucas sold the Star Wars franchise to Disney, but re-reading it (and at the risk of tooting my own horn), its crazy how much of the stuff I wrote came true-ish. Like I wrote about Bay re-imagining Power Rangers. He ended up doing TMNT, but theres a Power Rangers reboot coming, and we all know its gonna be explody. I also wrote about the backlash to all the whiny people who complain about Star Wars re-cuts and rebooted properties, and STILL go to see them. Of course it needed re-writes, but I think it was a strong, funny piece at its core.
