So about one month ago while my hand was traveling at maximum - TopicsExpress

So about one month ago while my hand was traveling at maximum speed a steering wheel jumped out of nowhere and my hand crashed into it. Upon impact I was quite certain I broke my hand and being my fathers son but with an elevated awareness of how to treat injuries I decided it was no use going to the doctor as all they would do is brace it and tell me not to use it which would be quite unacceptable as Uncle Sam wants his taxes and pampering my hand wont pacify his greed. Yesterday after a month of wondering why it wasnt healing I went to the doctor. X-rays were taken and it turns out my hand was indeed broken but instead of in the middle of the bone as one would expect it was broken diagonally from the center top joint downward. A surgeon was called for a second opinion on my hand. Fortunately for me its too late to do surgery and shove a pin in there so they decided a brace and another visit a month from now will suffice. The reason I am sharing this with everyone... Keep an eye out for steering wheels. Especially those of the late 70s early 80s. My hand has ran into three, two of which was 1980 models and one 79 but never before has the outcome been so devastating. Also, if anyone has a horn button for a 79/80 chevy pickup I would be interested in buying it as the one in my truck is broken.
