So, after finishing Game of Thrones and its first season I have come to the conclusion that all book series with long books should be made into TV shows instead of movies. Now before objecting, hear me out, think of how much gets left out if the movies that are in books. Lets take Harry Potter for instance, now imagine if they broke it up into 7 seasons of a TV show as opposed to 8 movies, think of all the stuff they could have kept in that got cut out of the movies, think of how much more detail they could have gone into with the character development. Even book 1, which only has about 200 and some pages could have made for a short first season and they could have made a season for each book, like Game of Thrones, and have JK Rowling over seeing the production of the show in case they wanted to add in extra scenes so she could ensure they were consistent with her plot lines and did not confuse fans of the books nor the viewer. More authors should consider this route as opposed to turning books in movies.
