So anyways, Isy and I are at Wined It Up, on Bay St in Beaufort and Tara was busy chopping stuff and whisking stuff and stirring away at assorted pots and our pretty little server was telling us about the menu and I ask, what is a Vichyssoise? and she says it is a cold tater and leek soup and I said whats a leek? and Isy said its kind of like an onion and I like onions but am not sure about cold soup but Isy says its good and I said I dont think so and I ordered something that involved a dead animal and Isy ordered cold tater soup and made me taste it and dammit..., it was GOOD! Soooo today I decided to cook some up cause Isy likes it and it was too hot to work outside and for some reason there were leeks in the fridge that were not far from looking kind of iffy and I did and at some point youre sposed to put the stuff in a blender to puree and I did and then something went GRANKLEGRRRRR!!! and somehow the little plastic thingie in the lid of the blender had fallen into the soup and gotten pretty well blended up with it and I said DAMMIT! but poured the soup through a sieve and it tastes pretty good but not Tara Tracy good and there are occasional little crunchy pieces in it. I think Ill take it to Mom and little sister tomorrow
