So apparently there is a rumor going around that Da Big Kahuna/Rockers Island Saturdays is closed. Let me clarify a few things: 1) Rockers Island is in full effect tonight feat guest DJ Ele alongside Bonafide Sound and KonChus. 2) If Da Big kahuna was to ever close (which it is not), it would be posted on my timeline and on Rockers Islands English and Japanese pages; yes there is a new Japanese FB page. 3) If Da Big Kahuna would close (which it is not) Rockers Island (Honolulus longest running dancehall weekly ever!!!) would simply continue at another venue. 4) Whoever is spreading rumors due to envy of Rockers Islands success please note that I am like a beast that thrives on eating HATERS for breakfast, lunch (occasionally brunch), and dinner! so in the words of Austin Powers fat bastard, Get In My Belly. The more you Hate, the more you feed the beast! 5) Not only is Rockers Island not closing but look out this week for announcement of a second weekly dancehall venue brought to you by yours truly KonChus. Yes, I am expanding :) 6) Big up and nuff respect to all the people that has supported my events throughout the years in Hawaii and especially the ones that built Rockers Island to what it is today. 7) If you cant stand to see Rockers Island succeed, if you hate Niel Brown, if you would like to start another Honolulu Reggae vibes to compete with Rockers Island, if your pitiful lifes goal is to see my failure, if you hate the fact that we walk like a champion and talk like a champion (Buju voice); please refer to #4 8) Rockers Island!
