So are we ashamed of this part of our history or not? Do you argue, as did some KKK guys the other night, that, hey, it is just a part of our history? Hell no. It is NOT just a part of our history. It is a WRONG part of our history. This is one more reason we must rename Nathan Bedford Forrest High School. I am thankful to those who plan to be at the School Board meeting at 3 p.m. I think I will be down there at noon or maybe 1 p.m. in hopes of speaking with a few people but I will probably need to leave by 2:30 and so I will probably miss the good part. We all know that probably we dont get to speak. But often people get outfoxed on things like this and find that for no particular reason the public speakers resume even at times we have been told not to expect it. So we need speakers ready set to go just in case the subject is opened up for speakers again. (Also, even if nobody speaks, we need to be seen, we need to be visible, just so School Board knows we are watching watching.)
