So, as I FINALLY get a [brief] reprieve for a bit here, Id like to take a few minutes to acknowledge a kickass weekend, and those who helped make it so. Things kicked off on a STRONG note with another fantastic evening of Musical Combat. The crowd was fairly comparable to that of our debut, and for only our 2nd week, and considering there were only TWO teams this past week, compared to all FOUR the previous..... thats a very nice sign. And our audiences are helping to spread the words, with their pics, vids, and words (in particular, Steven Greenwood, Amy Turk, and Niko King, among others). Seriously, thank you guys for your efforts to grow this show. The Cherry Pop Chartsll be taking the next couple weeks off, but I WILL be making a special appearance in this weeks match, as well as REFEREEING next weeks. Fun times to come. Check it out this Friday at 9:30 PM at ComedySportz Milwaukee. And on the subject of fun times, Saturday saw my first time at Six Flags in roughly 10/12 years. Waiting 2 1/2 hours in 90-minute lines, wheelchair-bound problems, getting separated with dying cellulars, terrified Seal-singing (stay tuned to see what becomes of THAT footage...), getting stuck on rides, diminished voices..... all made worth it thanks to my recently-acquainted friends - Jenny Zhang, John Francis, Kyle Jason, Jamie Coulter, and Joel Menos - along with gettin to know Argie Callaghan and Tanya Shaw, and even running into the Mikkelsons - Jessica, Catherine, and Patrick.
