So during the summer my husband and a few of his friends turned our upstairs that used to consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom into one master suite level. Also built a nice bedroom for Zack in the basement. Our other son lives in a 24x24 room above out garage. Although the project is not done, Wanted to post some pics. I have worked very hard doing the molding and alot of projects to change the look of the room. All furniture and accessories are things that where out for the garbage around my neighborhood and I have redone. All furniture was cleaned repaired and painted in espresso. The mirror above the bed is a door mirror that was gold the dressers where found in the wealthier part of endicott that apparently instead of fixing something they can just go buy new. The painting I post was done by Bretts cousin. And my mother gave me the vanity, which was a blessing because it was becoming difficult for me to stand long enough to get ready without having severe back pain. The bed frame and backboard are gorgeous and just needed some reinforcement boards to stabilize it. I think it looks like a room that would be in a 2 or 300.000 house. Only thing we spent a large amount of money on was the new carpet. I love that with my father being a designer and architect and teaching me everything he knew I am able to utilize the knowledge he taught me. Because of my health and back conditions it is taking almost a year to finish something that I could have done in 2 months, but I am very proud of the outcome so far. With no income we dont have money to decorate and everything was done and transformed with spare scraps of wood and paint and a little imagination. So for all you wealthy folk keep throwing you things out. I will take it...
