So, everyone knows there is a lot of data out in the internet about you - however it is hard to fathom when and where it will be apparent... I just signed up for a UPS account so that I could automatically track packages. I had an account several years ago, however let it expire. Setting up a new account - provided the usual and my address with a different user name than the past - UPS verified my identity with these types of questions - the month that my sister was born, using her married last name, the address number that I shared with my mother almost 15 years ago, and the birth month of my wife using her maiden name - preceded with a request for my birth date. Necessary information that should be kept and maintained by a shipping company? I think not.
