So first photo jaunt of 2015. It was a doozy. Weve been looking to explore the old abandoned steel plant in Ensley for some time but especially since last year. Weve waited all year for the weather to get cold enough to kill off the brush so that we could explore without fear of snakebites or other dastardly deeds - like falling in unseen, uncovered and very deep pits. My arms and legs look like I went three rounds with a blackberry bush and a prickly pear tree...basically I did. Hiking boots and blue jeans were no match for the brambles. It was worth the long wait and the many scrapes and scratches. We do have plans to go back. Three and a half hours was not nearly enough to explore all that we wanted to. I hope you enjoy the photos.
